DIGITAL WIRELESS

It's next level stuff...

Digital wireless streaming provides high-quality, direct audio that streams straight to your hearing devices. These are typically called "FM Systems" and are next-level technology that have expanded the boundaries of accessibility in difficult listening situations. Digital wireless systems are designed to provide assistive listening in situations like a restaurant, classroom, worship service, presentation, company meeting, and even for phone calls and music enjoyment. Using a remote microphone/transmitter, it reduces background noise and allows sound to be transmitted straight to your hearing device - even as far as 100 feet away.

AudioLink is an easy-to-use universal connectivity device that can connect SONNET or SONNET 2 to your phone, tablet, TV, and all your other favorite media devices. It features easy access to controls, various mixing modes for optimal listening, wideband audio Bluetooth for cell phone use, TV connectivity and an audio input for multimedia use.

MED-EL is also compatible with ROGER™ technology to pair with our innovative line of products providing the best solutions for every listening environment. MED-EL users can benefit from the popular ROGER technology by using the following products - ROGER Select, ROGER Pen, Touchscreen Mic, and Inspiro.

The sound quality is absolutely amazing. In a large auditorium, the professor sounds as if he is standing right next to me.

Wireless Convenience

Hearing devices together with a digital wireless system provide many ways to connect in different listening environments. Use it at home, at work or in class. Sync to your phone via Bluetooth for clear, hands-free listening. Use a docking accessory to stream audio from a TV directly to your processor. Stream music and audio from a phone, tablet or computer with an audio accessory cable.

  • Most phones come with a Bluetooth chip inside of them. These can be paired with your digital wireless system (ie. AudioLink or Roger Pen). Once it is paired, you can hear your phone calls straight into the receiver on your processor for a clearer listening experience. There are some QuickTips to help you start using your AudioLink or Roger transmitter with your phone.

    What about office phone systems?

Office phones usually do not have Bluetooth connectivity, but there are some accessories available that can convert the headset to work with Bluetooth systems like the AudioLink or Roger Pen. Check out this link for more information.

  • Digital wireless system microphones help deliver speech understanding in noise and over distance. The transmitters can be placed on a table to pick up conversations around you. They can be worn around the neck or near a speaker's voice so that you can hear clearly from across a room. You can also hold the transmitter and point to the direction of sound you wish to hear. The different transmitters (MED-EL AudioLink, ROGER Select, Pen, Touchscreen, Inspiro) offer different advantages, so be sure to do some research on them.

  • Wireless transmitters can be used to stream audio wirelessly to your processors.

Some transmitters use a small accessory cable that enables audio/music to stream from your phone, tablet, and computer. Other transmitters use Bluetooth signal to wirelessly send the audio stream directly to the receivers.

  • There are a variety of ways a digital wireless system can be used to hear the television (or laptop, DVD player, etc.) with more clarity.

Most systems have an audio input port that connects to your TV or Laptop. Sound is streamed via the connected transmitter and then onto your receiver in the processor.

Some systems provide a "dock" where you connect to your TV (or laptop, etc) that streams directly to your processor.
